For those readers who have an interest in webcomics beyond just reading them, we have another news source today. Digital Strips is a weekly podcast that looks at different online comics and, in their words, tries “to bring the 5% of webcomics worth reading to the rest of the world.” The site has been online since 2005, making it the second longest running webcomics news source.
Digital Strips is well-organized for the listener, with plenty of links to the comics they report on and a handy reference for most podcasts that lists the comics in each report with a time index reference in case you want to skip right to the content on that particular strip.
I wish that I had the time to listen to more of their work which I’ve missed as it came out. It might be the one minor design flaw with doing a podcast about webcomics: I can read many times faster than I can listen, and there are weeks that I just don’t have the time to finish their report.
